Before I go to bed, without much to say right now ... I just want to say how much I love this, how lovely I think it is. It deserves lots more views. It puts me in mind of promethia_tenk  and elisi , and their words and discussion. And it's brilliant just all by itself.

Whups. Not only had I read the meta, I answered it at length. My short term memory sucks eggs. I still love it. I still don't quite agree with everything, and I still love portions of it with a great joyous love. And what a wonderful thing, to be able to read it again!
